Ludhiana, Feb 22 (Indianmuslims.info) All India Majlis-e-Ahrar has decided to play a key role in defeating the forces of communalism and capitalism in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the neighbouring State of Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a meeting of Majlis workers here Wednesday, Majlis president Maulana Habibur Rahman Thani Ludhianavi laid emphasis on the need for containing division of Muslim vote and thereby defeating communal forces in the State.

Maulana Ludhianavi, whose party had supported Mulayam Singh Yadav in the last Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, said, “The communal forces are supporting the elements that have dug up the very roots of our motherland.�

Speaking on the occasion, Majlis joint secretary Allama Mansoor Bijnori claimed that the Majlis had played an important role in the recent Assembly elections in Punjab.

The party’s general secretary Maulana Muhammad Usman Rahmani informed the audience that the Majlis has established its branches in Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Haryana with the support of Muslims and other backward communities.
