Aligarh, Feb 22 (Indianmuslims.info) The annual meeting of Aligarh Muslim University Court will be held on March 25, 2007. It will open at 11 a.m. sharp in the auditorium of the University Polytechnic.

The meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on January 21, 2007 but it was postponed.

Besides presentation of annual accounts, audit report and budget for the next financial year, one important item on the agenda of the meeting is to consider amendments / additions in Statute 20 (2) (c) of the Statutes of the University relating to creation of three new Departments under the Faculty of Medicine.

The university’s Registrar (Councils Section) Professor Faizan Mustafa said besides the election of Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and Honorary Treasurer, 42 persons representing various categories will be elected to serve as members on the University Court, and six members of University Court will be elected to serve on Executive Council.

The last annual meeting of AMU Court was held on February 12, 2006.
