New Delhi, Feb 22 (IANS) The central government will soon bring a bill to regulate the micro-finance sector for the benefit of population not availing itself of banking facilities.

The legislation will provide a legal framework for the entities engaged in micro financing and facilitate an environment for development of micro finance services in the country with greater transparency, effective management and better governance, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi said Thursday.

This will facilitate the flow of micro finance services to the un-banked population of the country, he said.
